We have been raising Longhorn cows for about 12 years on land that has been family farmed for 4 generations. As a retired coalminer and retired teacher, this venture has become our passion.
We got our first longhorn animals and longhorn advice from experienced friends and the herd has just continued to grow. We choose to raise them because of their spectacular colors, mellow temperament, hardiness, and resistance to disease.
It’s our mission to raise cattle while responsibly taking care of the environment and provide top quality, locally grown meat at a fair and reasonable price to the families of Southern Illinois and the surrounding area.
We are a licensed meat broker and all meat is officially inspected during processing. All our animals are raised on our farm. They are fed grass (rotating pasture), hay (we raise our own) and corn (non-gmo-grown on our farm).
